Listen to what is spoken

I have got my hands on a real great Bible ... This is called the Christian walk Bible!

There is something that I learned recently ...from the life of Abraham! The Guy about whom Bible talks. He was a mighty man of God and God was his friend. Both God and Abraham used to hang out together. They used to share their ideas and discuss things.
Though he was such a great friend of God he did something that taught me a lesson!

Check this out ...Genesis 16:2 says "And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai..."

Dr. Mathews Vergis explains this - Abraham listened to God and did as God wanted him to do. he set out from Haran obeying the call of God. And also God told him that he will be blessed with a Child... However knowing this entire he still missed the ball once!

Sarai and he shared a great relationship as a couple... He loved his wife a lot and listened to what she said... and she asked him to know Hagar ( Hagar was Sarai’s maid and handmaids were totally the mistress property in those days and in case the mistress is barren they used to bear child for the couple)

Remember God told him that God will bless Sarai and Abram and they will have their own child yet he listened to Sarai and slept with Harag (Sarai's handmaid) in order to have a kid!

All the problems began in his life right from the moment Hagar conceived... in this case Abram forgot to ask God, He listened to Sarai as she was his beloved wife and they both wanted a kid... But the kid whom Hagar bore was not in God's perfect plan for Abram...

Sarai was used to tempt Abram...

BEWARE! We can defeat the evil one only when we consider what is spoken rather than who had spoken!
